Erik Tunstad (f. 1954) er utdannet biolog og har vært fagredaktør i forskning.no, programleder i Verdt å vite på NRK P2, undervist ved Høyskolen i Vestfold, og har skrevet flere bøker, blant andre Darwins teori (2009) og Juks (2011), Evolusjon (2015) og Neandertal. Folket som forsvant (2020) sammen med Vibeke Riiser-Larsen. I 2012 ble han tildelt Språkrådet språkpris, i klassen «fremragende bokmål». I 2015 fikk han Bonnevieprisen av Norsk biologforening.
